This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Driving Instructor Manager collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the Driving Instructor Manager mobile application ("App").

a. Email

We collect the user's email address for the purpose of authentication and to serve as a username for logging into the App securely.

b. Contacts (Optional)

We provide an optional feature within the App that allows Users to back up their contacts data. If the User chooses to enable this feature, the App will collect and store the User's contacts data in a secure manner for the sole purpose of data backup. This allows Users to retrieve their contacts data in case of device loss, device switch, or operating system migration.

c. User Type Information

We collect information about whether a User is an instructor or student to provide appropriate functionality and access controls within the App.

2. Non-Personal Identification Information

Optionally, the Driving Instructor Manager App may store non-personal identification information about Contacts to track contact data associated with their learning progress and scheduled lessons. This information may include skills progress and scheduled lessons. This data is used solely for the purpose of providing enhanced learning and scheduling features within the App. Users have the choice to opt in or opt out of this feature at their discretion.

Please note that the storage and usage of this optional data is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this Privacy Policy, and Users can unsubscribe or request the deletion of this data as described in Section 7 and Section 9 of this Privacy Policy.

For All Users:

For Instructors:

The user of the Driving Instructor Manager App has the right to delete their account at any time. Upon account deletion, the following data handling procedures apply:

For Student Users:

  • The user account will be permanently deleted from our servers
  • The student record will be disconnected from the instructor but preserved to maintain instructor's historical records
  • Student invitation status will be reset to allow future re-invitation
  • All registration records associated with the user will be permanently deleted
  • Local app data on the user's device will be completely cleared

For Instructor Users:

  • The user account will be permanently deleted from our servers
  • ALL associated data will be permanently deleted, including:
    • All student records under the instructor
    • Complete lesson history and schedules
    • All notes and progress reports
    • All messages and communications
    • All assessment data and progress tracking
    • Student invitation records
    • Registration records
  • Local app data on the user's device will be completely cleared

IMPORTANT: Account deletion is irreversible. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered. We recommend backing up any important data before proceeding with account deletion.

8. Data Retention and Deletion Timeline

  • Account deletion requests are processed immediately upon user confirmation
  • Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • No data recovery is possible after account deletion
  • Users are provided with clear warnings about the permanent nature of data deletion before proceeding

9. Your Rights Under Data Protection Laws

In accordance with applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access your personal data
  • Right to rectify inaccurate personal data
  • Right to delete your personal data (as described in Section 7)
  • Right to restrict processing of your personal data
